ComputerJobs.ie values the participation and interaction that users have with the services it provides, and acknowledges the rights of users to keep their personal information confidential. We are committed to make every effort to ensure that the information you submit to us is secured and protected. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices.
GENERAL PRIVACY STATEMENT
ComputerJobs.ie stores information about all our users in two ways, (a) aggregated and (b) by the personal profile details users input into our database.
ComputerJobs.ie tracks user traffic and activity through log files on our server. This enables us to monitor traffic on our website, e.g. where users are coming from - advertising campaigns of search engines or links, whether pages in the sites are of interest to users and how long users stay in the site and how often they visit. This information is gathered from the log files and used in aggregate form, not on an individual basis.
Personal and company details
The second type of information stored on our servers is directly inputted by members of the ComputerJobs.ie site. We give the user different levels of privacy from which to choose, giving them control of who sees their information and what level of service they wish to avail.
The first step in this is the Registration process
During registration a user gives contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to contact the user about services on our site for which an interest in has been expressed. It is optional for the user to provide more specific information, but encouraged so we can provide a more personalised experience on our site. If at any time the user wishes to unsubscribe or delete their information from our database they are free to do so.
In order to become a member the user must activate their account, allowing ComputerJobs.ie to verify their email address.
The Protection of your CV
ComputerJobs.ie regards a Curriculum Vitae as a personal document and our users have full control over who can view their personal information and whether or not they wish to have their contact details (name, address, telephone number, email address) visible to employers and recruiters. Please note that by ticking the box "Save Cv" when registering, your Cv will be viewable by Recruiters & Employers if they use our searchable Cv database. We also have the facility whereby you can come up in searches but keep personal details hidden. Simply login, select "My profile & Cv" and tick the "Hide contact details" box.
No Profile CV Search
A user may store their personal profile and CV on our database but not allow it be searchable. This allows a user to apply online and send their CV through ComputerJobs.ie for a chosen job posting, but does not allow other potential employers & recruiters to have access to their profile through our database.
Allowing Profile CV Search
Live job matching. - A user may allow their profile and CV be seen by potential employers and recruiters when they are posting a new position to the ComputerJobs.ie site. This happens when criteria from the Computer professional user and the Computer employer matches and allows for a Computer professional's details to be presented to the prospective employer as soon as the job posting is 'live'. A user may allow their profile and CV be seen by potential employers and recruiters on our searchable database facility. If a profile is searchable then all member recruiters who pay for access to our CV database will have access to searchable profiles. Users should be aware that recruiters and potential employers who pay for access to our database may retain a copy of profile and CV for their own purposes and we are not responsible for their use or privacy of CV in such instances. ComputerJobs.ie Profiles are stored in the ComputerJobs.ie database and remain active for a period of 365 days from the time the user last updated their details. Users can change or delete their personal profile and CV on our database at any time through the user profile management account.
A user can allow their details to be searchable without disclosing their name, address or contact details. ComputerJobs.ie will notify you of the prospective employers interest by email and only disclose your profile to them upon your approval to ComputerJobs.ie by email.
The Job Alert service automatically alerts Computer professionals registered for this service about job vacancies on the ComputerJobs.ie web site that match their criteria. The service requires you to disclose your email address and job preferences in your profile account manager. Details collected via the Job Alert service remain active for a period of 365 days from the time you last saved details. After this period the details will expire but remain on the server until such time the service is reactivated or deleted by the user.
Updating personal information
ComputerJobs.ie gives users the ability to change and modify their information. Candidates utilising the service have real time access to all of their personal information for the purpose of editing, updating and deleting. Deleting an account will delete all information recorded.
We receive and reply to email from users on a regular basis. For record-keeping purposes we retain copies of all incoming and outgoing email. Information in the email we receive and send will not be disclosed to any third party without the permission of the sender.
