Aspira are currently looking for a QA Manager to join a client of ours on an initially 12 month contract;

  • Responsibility for hands on day to day ownership of Testing Software Delivery including accuracy of test estimates, planning, test execution velocity, defect resolution, reporting and quality are accurate and maintained effectively and efficiently
  • Act as escalation and resolution point of contact for Programmes/projects
  • Ensure effective testing by monitoring and auditing projects, removing inefficiencies , identifying areas to improve using existing data points, trends and KPIs
  • Proactive and tenacious temperament essential
  • Provide leadership & mentoring on Test best practices to the team and enable team members to make informed decisions
  • Act as a point of reference and resolve conflict where required to the team and/or other teams


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years software testing experience throughout all phases of a software testing cycle with Bachelor's or higher degree in computer or comparable fields
  • Experience in financial software/payments application testing
  • Must be hand on and comfortable with technology platforms especially back end, high volume transactional systems
  • Knowledge and/or experience using software engineering test tools, performance and automation testing tools and framework python scripting
  • Excellent analytical problem determination and solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive Energy and desire to deliver high-quality software on tight schedules
  • Proven knowledge and experience managing JIRA Test and Quality product suites, experience with agile software management methodologies including scrum, SAFE, lean testing
  • Exceptional communication skills, decisive approach and strong analytical skills
  • Candidate should have strong and effective decision making skills
  • Ability to influence and build relationships and demonstrate leadership in all interactions
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, an ability to engage and create trust in others to build and foster customer and team relationships
  • Certification in Agile, ISTQB or ISEB is highly desired.
