Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Ireland's start-up success stories who are continuing to expand both locally and abroad. They have grown rapidly over the last few years and become a key player within their niche sector of the financial services market.

This role will join the platform engineering & automation team and will be a purely engineering role focusing on the design of new products and functions to help drive the business forward. There will be some elements of final tier support but only on rare occasions if all other avenues have been exhausted. The majority of the position will be high level engineering projects.

This team utilises a wide range of tools and technologies, but the areas below are the ones most important and crucial for someone to be a successful applicant.

1) Extensive Linux engineering experience. Looking for someone who is really passionate about Linux. Someone who actively avoids working on Windows and even plays about with Linux machines in their spare time!

2) Kubernetes - Hands on experience building Kubernetes clusters on bare metal is key. If you've built clusters on AWS/GCP then that can still be considered but a deeper level of knowledge would be preferred.

3) Strong hands on experience with IAC (terraform and ansible) and traditional coding with Python/Golang.

4) Public cloud experience with AWS and GCP (Environment is 80% AWS, 20% GCP)
