Aspira are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 6 months’ rolling contract in Cork, for one of our clients in the Utilities sector.
Role
- The Project Manager will work as part of a PMO / In-house Project Governance Structure
- The Project Manager will support a regulatory driven Asset Management programme
- The main focus of the role will be on scheduling, estimating, planning and budgeting
- A significant number of sites need to be upgraded as part of the overall programme
- Reporting to Senior Executives and the Regulator
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of the Asset Management programme (Scope, Requirements, Estimation, Budget, Schedule, Quality, Resources)
- Maintain Governance for planning, prioritisation, delivery, and overall management of the project
- Understand and manage various CAPEX programme interdependencies
- Align with the IT Workstream in terms of milestones / deliverables
- Ensure project management processes and methodology are adhered to
- Ensure quality objectives are defined and met
- Ensures the right resources are available as required
- Communicates and provides timely updates to all stakeholders
- Lead, provide direction to and support the project team
- Ensure risks and issue are defined and managed robustly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5-7 Years’ experience of Project Management
- Project Management certification (PMP or Prince2)
- Utilities Background
- Operations / CAPEX / Asset Management experience
- Proficient in project management software (e.g. MS Project) and related tool (e.g. Excel).
- Experience with Maximo Asset Management System desired but not essential
