itContracting are seeking applications for a Network Security Engineer, this is a long-term contract located in Dublin South
 
The Firewall Engineer is required to assist with the migration of services to a new hardware and virtual firewall platforms.
 
Requirements:
 

- An in-depth knowledge of Firewalls, IP management and DNS is required.
- years professional experience managing enterprise Firewall/Security environments
- A proven track record of Firewall management is required.
- Hands on experience configuring ACL, VPN, NAT,and routing protocols
- Proven track record in implementing advanced security features such as, AppID, UserID, Advance threat protection, HTTPS decryption, wildfire.etc.
- PCNES or equivalent preferable.
- Reporting to the Network Security Manager, the primary focus will be to manage the migration of existing firewall platforms, to Palo Alto next generation firewalls.
- The role will include detailed analysis of existing devices, defining implementation and testing approach such that current policies and rules can be migrated to new devices with minimum impact to the Business.
- Experience working in a change management lead environment, ability to raise and representing changes through the approvals process.
- Syslog investigations using Splunk
- Administering, troubleshooting and configuring / implementing Firewalls, Cisco ASA and/or Palo Alto experience preferable.
- IP management tools – Bluecat.
- Networking trouble shooting toolsets
