Role Overview
Eurofins has established a Software Engineering Operation here in Dublin to serve as a Centre of Excellence for all IT Solutions.

We are looking to bring great engineers, business analysts and technologists into the business to build and grow an organization with a start-up spirit, to implement world-class software solutions and the strongest IT foundation possible - Made in Ireland - for a business with an enormous global footprint.

We are on the market for an Agile Business Analyst to work on our ERP platforms for laboratories around driving process. 

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Elicit requirements and design specifications using a variety of tools including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis and workflow analysis.
  • Act as a Functional Expert to collect, challenge and agree on business requirements.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum activities with the implementation team.
  • Translate business requirements into user requirements particularly exercising judgement on simplifying business complexity.
  • Use BDD and ATDD techniques to minimise the differences between what is asked by the Business Analysts and what the Developers understand.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers under the coordination of the Business Project Manager (BPM) to analyze information needs, functional requirements and deliver relevant artefacts.
  • Drive and challenge business unit representatives (Business Process Expert) on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
  • Serve as the intermediary between the internal customer community and the software development team through the whole requirements flow.
  • Business process mapping – taking processes from As-Is – To Be
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
  • Identify Information System weaknesses and develop solution proposals to improve IT and Group systems and policies.
  • Support the Business Requirement Owner (BRO) and/or Business Process Experts (BPE) in Business Process design.
  • Perform gap analysis and write functional specifications and User Requirements. 
  • Actively participate in IT deployments of modules in charge (installation, customization, test development and documentation) in close collaboration with BPM and local IT deployment teams.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Business or an Engineering Discipline
  • Proven track record as an Agile Business Analyst  or Product Owner
  • Strong Business Process Analysis and design experience
  • Ability to develop Business Requirements, User Requirements, User Stories and relevant artefacts.
  • Strong facilitation and listening skills. Strong initiative and results-oriented.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to write technical documentation without support of Developers
  • Position entails 25 - 30% travel
