Data Engineer

Our client, a global Technology company based in Co. Kerry is looking for a Data Engineer to join their product development team. The Data Engineer will have experience managing data processes while also ensuring data quality and advising organisation on best practice in accordance with EU legislation.

What’s involved?

·         Implementation of designed data management processes (across operational Databases, data warehouse, data lake and data marts)

·         Designing ETL processes and data models which will support data development, data analysis as well as product development.

·         Managing all operational data processes in accordance with EU legislation

·         Ensuring data quality and offering advice to organisation on best practice

• Work in an agile team taking responsibility for core development decisions

What do you need?

·         3+ years experience in data management roles

·         Key database tech required: MongoDB, MySQL, Redshift

·         Excellent skills in data management scripting via SQL, Python, Java etc.

·         Experience with spark and Hadoop (EMR)

·         Ability to Lead data requirement discussions with internal teams and customer.

·         Experience in a high volume transaction environment

·         Working knowledge of AWS and tableau
