Service Desk / IT Support
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of Irelands leading Semi State companies with a global reach. The role is offered on an initial 12 month FTC with the likelihood of extension very high due to volume of work and expansion rates.

Responsibilities of the Service Desk / IT Support Role:
• Complete initial diagnostics and triage on all IT service requests
• Support network team in ensuring network and IP connectivity of all workstations, application servers, and back-end office infrastructure
• Build and deploy tablets and mobile phones, troubleshoot printer problems, support standard software packages
• Deliver desktop support for all users including remote users
• Escalate tickets 3rd line support or third-party vendors when required
• Monitor network security, including ensuring all laptops are encrypted
• Support with system backups and restores
Required Skills and Experience for the Service Desk / IT Support Role:
• Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience on an IT Service Desk
• Strong Desktop, Laptop, Mobile device support and troubleshooting skills
• Microsoft Windows background is essential – windows 10
• Work as an integral part of the IT team
• Strong Interpersonal and communication
