About the Role
The CTO will be a key contributor to the future technical direction of the organization’s products. The CTO will work closely with other heads of function within the company to ensure our product strategy is aligned. The CTO will be responsible for all development and architectural standards, ensuring that our products are of the highest quality and that our public release practices are best of breed.

Responsibilities of the CTO Role:
• Lead the design, development and deployment of product releases based on JavaScript, .NET and SharePoint Online technologies
• Provide oversight and validation of all technical/architectural design components of all development activity
• Ensuring we have a robust and scalable source control solution capable of supporting on and off shore development
• Definition and Management of our Architecture and Coding Standards
• Planning, leading, organising, controlling and career management of our technical resources
• Ensure all R&D issues are responded to and resolved through ratified Service Levels Agreements between the R&D resolver group and the Customer Success division
• Ensure that objectives are set and performance appraisals are conducted for each member of the team
• Design and maintain the technical development product roadmap and assess resources against that roadmap as required
• Be the facilitator and key contributor to incremental and step-change innovation within the organisation
Required Experience and Education for the CTO Role:
• 10+ years relevant experience required
• ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript development experience essential
• Microsoft Azure Architecture essential
• Experience with OO design and implementation techniques
• Service Orientated Architecture (SOA)
• Ideally some skill in MS SQL Reporting Services
• Web services Architecture
• Strong people management experience and capability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Degree in Computer Science or similar related qualification
• Ideally MS Certified (SharePoint)
• Some formal management or leadership training highly desirable
