We’re looking for an Automation Java Engineer to come and join us as we continue with exciting projects and building industry-leading products.

As one of the most exciting companies in the VoIP tech space, Voxbone is growing fast… very fast! That’s where you come in as we are looking for an Automation Java Engineer to join our new Java Dev hub in Dublin, Ireland.  

You will be part of a multi-skilled team that’s delivering a great user experience, based on different architectures. We need fearless innovators who are able to understand complex challenges and provide quality integrated solutions. We use a mixture of agile, kanban and scrum methodologies and our technology stack consist of backend services written in Java on top of MariaDB and RabbitMQ and a number of frontend applications written in AngularJS, Angular or JSF

  • Keep improving our CI/CD environment to support other teammates not only in development but also in QA, systems, operations and product management  
  • Plan and organize all development releases
  • Monitor release process together with your teammates
  • Automate the setup of all the different developments environments
  • Provide support to the team for frameworks / tools upgrades
  • Standardize all the different development environments
  • Be part of the incident management: monitoring and dispatching
  • Support the team with the problem resolution
  • Work closely with your team incorporating feedback from product management and other stakeholders to create optimally integrated solutions
  • Rapidly handle critical incidents by solving them or making sure they are resolved in a timely manner by the team
  • Pro-actively look for ways to make Voxbone better
  • Be an active participant in discussions about design and architecture
  • Be passionate about technology and quality deliverables
  • Be an advocate for best practices in software development  (peer programming, TDD, high code coverage unit and integration tests, etc.)



To join our crew, you need

  • Good Java skills
  • Continuous improvement is your motto: Kaizen!
  • Understanding of software engineering concepts such as: common data structures and algorithms, design patterns, etc.
  • A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance, knowledge of automation
  • To be a team player, not afraid to communicate clearly on issues and progress
  • To be competent with database concepts and SQL
  • Experience with Jenkins, Docker & Maven
  • Excellent communication skills


We’d be extra happy if you had experience with

  • Java 8, Hibernate and Spring 4
  • Cloudstack / AWS
  • Message and job queuing services (RabbitMQ)
  • MySQL/MariaDB
  • Ansible or other automation engines
  • Git version control
  • Cassandra and Elastic Search
