Summary of Responsibilities
Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
Work in a development team working on B2B web applications
contribute with suggestions / improvements to software
Collaborate with the Content Team and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
Collaborate with CTO and the teams on prority items.
Review and set up expectations for the development team to accomplish throughout the SDLC.
Writing code for primary application.
Responsibilities
5+ Web Applications Experience
Experience with modern web languages and frameworks like PHP, Javascript (Vue.js, Node.js), Python, Ruby
Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools (Jira, SVN, Git, Scrum/Kanban)
Experience in MVC frameworks is advantageous but not essential (CakePHP, CodeIgniter, Laravel, Zend)
Education
Skills & Attributes
Ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
attention to detail
ability to understand and work with existing source code
good problem solving skills with a "can-do" attitude
Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
