My client are a leading provider of Internet and multichannel banking, ATM and card payment solutions to the worldwide financial services industry. They are currently looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual, with a strong interest in software testing, to join the Software Quality Assurance team as a Software Test Engineer. You will be responsible for providing the highest level of quality across multiple products, analyzing product requirements, creation of test cases from requirements and design documentation, manual and automated testing of products. You will work closely with the software engineering teams and you will be involved in defect/bug logging in the bug tracking database.

Responsibilities
• Designed test coverage, test cases and test data
• Reporting product issues, bug analysis and investigation to resolution
• Manual and Automation testing of products
• Test Environment setup and configuration as per requirements
• Attend Product Design and Technical Design meetings and contribute to improved QA coverage
• Work as part of a team and contribute ideas and improvements
• Analyze, document, and report test findings
• Work closely with development teams to provide additional information on open issues
Essential skills are
• Computer Science Degree
• Genuine interest in software testing and quality assurance
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail and strong aptitude for learning new technologies
• Ability to work across multiple product areas and remain quality focused
Desirable skills:
• Experience of software testing and methodologies
• Involvement with software projects and can demonstrate some experience in issue resolution
• Familiarity with XML, SQL Scripting, Oracle and Database technology
• Environment configuration – Windows and Unix experience
• Worked in a team environment and play a role in contributing to project success and products improvements
• Exposure to test case management tools, defect tracking tools and any QA Automation
• Hardware/Device testing experience
