Job Summary
We seek an experienced and skilled Systems Developer to join our Galway marine informatics (Ireland) team – play an important part in design and development of sites including atlas.marine.ie, www.digitalocean.ie.
Main required skills:
• Full stack .Net skills
• C#, JavaScript, MVC or similar
• Data management in SQL Server.
• Ability to learn Leaflet GIS API, graphing libraries, and other data stream handling elements.
In this role there are opportunities for interesting liaison with senior data analysts, users and scientists; exposure to data management best practice; and opportunity to develop additional technical skills particularly in data streaming, SQL, GIS, R and related areas.
Job Type / Category
• Fulltime contract. Monday-Friday regular hours.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
• ICT degree or postgraduate / plus appropriate technical certificates.
• Requirements for a strong aptitude and a sharp mind, open to on-going learning – more so than years of experience.
• All roles require an accurate and precise approach to own work – including clarity in thinking, analysis or coding, documentation, liaison and discussion.
• Excellent spoken and written English. EU or EEA passport required, or other right to work in Ireland.
