A leader in global test development and delivery solutions for academic, corporate, financial, government, healthcare, professional associations and technology markets is seeking a motivated Network & Telecoms Manager to direct all network engineering and telecommunications functions across the global business. The engineering functions include their network infrastructure supporting all test centres, operations centres and data centres around the globe. The telecommunications functions include all voice related functions at our operations centres around the globe and testing centre locations.
The Network & Telecoms Manager will have vast experience supporting a 24X7 operational model, not only for top-level support, but designing and implementing world-class architecture in support of their entire business model. You will be responsible for managing all network and telecommunications costs associated with our test centre channel, Data Centre infrastructure and all employee locations.
Responsibilities of the Network & Telecoms Manager:
• Manage a global team with employees in Ireland, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Tokyo, Japan and Baltimore, Maryland, US
• Drive teams to create state of the art network architectures
• Manage expense and capital budgets for supporting all systems
• Track and manage budgets for all support agreements for engineering equipment and software
• Review architectural designs and lead team for final solutions
• Provide operational and project-based planning and budgeting
• Lead engineering teams in support of 24x7 operations
• Provide clear and concise communication to business; including procedural documentation, communication of new projects, and escalations from the remainder of the business
Required for the Network & Telecoms Manager role:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related field
• Strong background in network engineering operations: Nexus, ACI
• Strong background in telecommunications functions: Avaya X, EMC, NICE
• Expertise of VPN, MPLS, WAN, LAN and routing operations
• Local and network-based security protocols, systems, and applications
• Data centre requirements, planning, support and operations
• SAN/NAS storage concepts including iSCSI and Fibre Channel
• Virtualization technologies to include VMWare, Citrix, and VDI
• Expertise in Windows systems and active directory operations
• US Candidates: Obtain background screening in support of FISMA compliancy
• Ability to lead large, global, cross functional teams on project-based solutions
