Big Data Developer

* 6+ month contract, excellent rates

Big Data / Spark Engineer required for an excellent contracting role with global financial services organisation in central Dublin.
You'll get to work on a completely greenfield project offering expertise and advise on technical architecture, offer opinion on tools / libraries to be used and deliver a huge Big Data project for a large financial services company who are aiming their product line to be much more software focused.
The role requires a developer with a strong understanding of Big Data development, ideally using Spark and streaming technologies.

Skills / Experience

* Proven experience with Spark, ideally having built systems from the ground up
* A strong understanding of Big Data architecture patterns
* Strong understanding of streaming technologies
* Solid OO experience - Python / Scala / Java etc.
* An appreciation for microservices / APIs / overall system design, connectivity etc.
* Experience with risk based systems is nice to have but not essential.
