Due to ongoing expansion, a leading global provider of Data Monetisation solutions for evolving mobile networks is currently looking for an experienced JEE developer to join a high energy R&D department. We want a highly motivated developer to be part of an agile development team within a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role which will involve design, reviews, coding and troubleshooting. The position will be based at our headquarters in Limerick, Ireland.


Role Responsibilities:

• Analyse and design in Java/Java JEE environment
• Develop high-level system architecture designs
• Drive these designs through development, testing, documentation and delivery
• Review design, functional specifications and code
• Create and review test plans and test tools
• Contribute to continuous process improvements
• Install and deliver developed applications to customer sites
• Report on project progression to Management
• Willingness to work as part of a team and provide team mentoring

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Relevant IT degree
• Minimum of 4 years industry experience (at least 2 years using Java) and a strong background in the following areas:
• Strong Java and OO skills
• ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
• RDBMS experience encompassing schema design
• PL/SQL having used: MySQL, Oracle, PostGreSQL
• Spring Core Framework including Spring web flow, Spring MVC
• Architecture and design skills
• Maven and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
• Virtualisation, Cloud-based Applications, Amazon AWS, VM-ware, EC-2
• Participation in the full software development lifecycle
• Agile development methods, like SCRUMs and SPRINTs
