My client are a leading technology company who design and deliver solutions and services for organisations to create, improve and maintain their ICT, mission critical communications networks and operational systems, which are vital in the effective operation of the nation's infrastructure.
They are currently looking to hire an IT Field Engineer to join their team. This role requires someone who can;
* repair and maintain a broad range of communications equipment and systems to specific service level agreements
* deal with customers in a courteous and professional manner, thereby maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
* plan and progress preventative maintenance schedules in co-ordination with Service Manager to fulfil existing contractual obligations
* take ownership for the diagnostic and resolutions of faults, both simple and protracted, while working as an individual or as part of a team, possibly in demanding circumstances
* ensure appropriate documentation is in place to facilitate easy diagnosis of fault and easy access to customer sites & premises
Experience/Skills Required;
Experienced in installing & maintaining communications systems including some of the following:
1 Radio
2 Audio
3 Data Communications
4 IT Fixed & Mobile Infrastructure, PCs, Servers & Mobile installations
5 Local Area & Wide Area Networks
6 Microwave Links & Multiplexors
* Experienced in the use of Programming /Diagnostic software and a good level of IT literacy
* Good customer facing skills, to be able to maintain customer confidence whilst performing maintenance activities
* Ownership and commitment to resolve complex and/or protracted faults either on individual or team basis
* Ability to use own initiative, sometimes under pressure whilst under direct customer scrutiny
* Be able to demonstrate excellent written & verbal communication skills, both internally and externally
* Successful applicants must have a full clean driving licence and be able to go through Security Clearance
* Experienced in the use of Programming /Diagnostic software and a good level of IT literacy
* A qualification in one or more of the following disciplines:
1 Radio
2 Audio
3 Data Communications
4 IT Fixed & Mobile Infrastructure, PCs, Servers & Mobile installations
5 Local Area & Wide Area Networks
6 Microwave Links & Multiplexors
