Our client researches and develops innovative, high quality solutions designed to make diagnostic testing more accurate. They are now looking for a number of Software Test Engineers to join their team in Dungloe.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will plan test strategies for one or more areas of a product. 

You’ll be responsible for creating, locating and acquiring data for testing assignments and developing test scripts based on use cases. You’ll create, execute and record test results, identifying and recording software defects within a problem-tracking system. 

Additionally, your duties will involve: 

- Building your understanding of the entire system and reporting on test coverage 
- Ensuring systems are tested to a high quality 
- Defining performance testing 
- Working with the Development Team for source confirmation management systems 

Interested? To be considered, you’ll need: 

- A higher-level qualification in a computer related discipline or be able to demonstrate the necessary industrial experience 
- Expertise in the area of testing 

Organised and attentive to detail, as a Software Test Engineer, you must be able to work independently, in a structured fashion and prioritise work in a logical manner. You must also be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and possess strong communication skills. 

Knowledge in C#, Java, C, C++, Linux or Windows would be beneficial.
