BI Analyst - Salary Negotiable + Benefits- Belfast
REED Technology Belfast are delighted to assist our client, a leading Retail Organisation based in Greater Belfast. They require a BI Analyst to strengthen their team, with the role being Temporary for 6 months with a view of permanency depending on the needs of the business.
The successful candidate will assist in developing, maintaining and supporting all aspects of BI within the Business. Working with the BI Lead Analyst, and the IT department, the role will concentrate on the development and maintenance of BI Solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE-
• To assist in developing, maintaining and supporting all aspects of Business Intelligence within the Business.
• Maintain reporting systems and associated data feeds
• Troubleshoot queries and, when required, liaison with Group IT in EIRE to monitor resolution
• Provide assistance to users in the use and analysis of information from Qlikview or RS
• Provide assistance to users in relation to specific requirements for the improvement or extension of reporting tools
• Produce ad-hoc reports from Qlikview
• Provide Database Solutions to house Divisional specific data, and reporting from same
• Provide analysis, process management support and efficiency's via Excel functionality
• Highlight opportunities to streamline processes and systems, where appropriate

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA-
• 3rd level qualification preferably in Information Technology / Business
• Alternatively where an applicant has no formal qualifications, a minimum of 5 years previous experience in a fast moving business environment will be accepted
Working knowledge or experience of the following:
• Microsoft Office Suite, at intermediate level, with Excel functions at advanced level
• Use of a third party reporting & analysis tool, e.g. MS SQL Reporting Services / Qlikview
• Visual Basic Application Scripting

DESIRABLE CRITERIA-
• Previous experience of working within a commercial IT function also an advantage
• Working knowledge or experience of the following:
• Fundamentals of Database Design
• Web development
• Principles and set-up of a configurable Portal Technology e.g. MS Share point
• Evidence of Project management skills
• Evidence of creative problem solving
