An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Robotic Process Automation Controller to work on a Robotics Process Automation programme within Pearson.
We have a grand vision of liberating the human workforce from tedious, repetitive tasks, by means of Robotic Process Automation.
Our Robotics Centre of Excellence is a newly established unit providing Robotics as a service for Pearson. We are in a build-up phase where Pearson's ambition within Robotics is high and our ramp-up plans very ambitious.
We are looking for a Robotic Process Automation Controller with an inquisitive nature and will be a self-starter who is able to act independently and have strong IT, testing and data analysis experience.

The position we offer
You will join the Robotics Centre of Expertise. We are building a software robotics factory with the ambition of scaling up and industrializing robotics. The focus will initially be to build a pipeline and to deliver results, primarily with Robotic Process Automation and later we will build the runway for adopting, scaling up and institutionalizing new robotic technologies such as virtual assistants, chat bots and cognitive learning.
The key responsibilities of the will include:

Ensure Robotic Process Automation (RPA) robots are properly monitored, managed, maintained, and controlled and that escalations for any issues are communicated
*
Oversee the work being performed by robots through Blue Prism by analyzing logs for individual robots, monitoring work queues to identify completed and exception items, and performing research, investigation, and resolution to facilitate automation of the business processes
*
Manage, configure and continually optimise the Blue Prism infrastructure
*
Configure and continually optimise the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software to meet business automation requirements.
*
Ongoing communication with Pearson IT department.
*
Deploy automation releases from Test to Production Environments
*
Provide customizable dashboards, audit logs, and management information reports for enhanced visibility and monitoring.
*
Communicating with automation vendors on software related issues, licence management and suggested product improvements.
*
Providing technical assistance and training to others.
*
Other Ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
EssentialSkills /Experience:
*
Minimum 1 years experience as an IT Analystor Process Owner or Similar
*
Great verbal and written communication skills
*
Demonstrable analytical skills and track record of problem-solving
*
Able to work independently or as part of a wider team on projects
*
Highly organised
*
Diligent with a high level of attention to detail.
*
IT mind-set with an enthusiasm to develop knowledge of technologies and process automation solutions
*
Passion for learning and working with leading edge technologies
DesirableSkills /Experience:
*
Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation tools such as BluePrism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc. or keen desire to learn this exciting technology.
*
Bachelor's degree in IT related discipline
*
Excellent working knowledge of IT systems, testing plans and procedures.
*
Experience with Agile
*
Some exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS)
