Allen Recruitment is assisting a leading international software house source an experienced IT Governance & Risk Analyst for their Dublin operation.

As an IT Governance and Risk Analyst, you will primarily be focused on the maintenance of an effective Enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance program. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the company on Information Security issues, you will ensure proper mechanisms are in place to manage identification, assessment and measurement of risks.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the procedures, controls and protocols required to protect the safety and security of information systems, assets, and customer data.

Suitable candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organization skills and an expert level understanding of cyber security principles and concepts.

Duties:

* Develop risk framework and processes that allow for effective risk monitoring, management and mitigation
* Lead risk assessment and risk management activities across the company
* Manage vendor relationships (from a risk and security perspective)
* Lead risk-focused culture and process change through training and interaction with functional leaders
* Work closely with functional leaders in IT and Operations to ensure security standards, policies, and procedures are deeply embedded, understood and adhered to
* Lead risk and security awareness and training programs
* Develop and implement a risk reporting framework for management teams and governance committees
* Lead business continuity planning and disaster recovery program
* Stay current with industry trends relevant to cyber security, privacy and risk

Experience and Education:

* Degree educated with experience in Information Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems
* Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in risk management, information security, privacy or a data protection or assurance-related function
* Holder of at least one Risk-related certification (CISM, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CIPP)
* Technical and Functional experience in domain of Governance, Enterprise Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance
* Proven understanding of risk assessment methodologies, frameworks, and procedures
* Experience implementing strong IT governance systems
* Experience building network of relationships across functions (liaising with senior management stakeholders)
* Ability to think strategically about security risks and tie those to tactical organizational activities
* Open and able to learn and work on new domains and technology
* Experience with risk assessments and compliance of major regulatory initiatives (e.g. HIPAA, ISO, PCI, SOX, FEDRAMP, SSAE16)
