Principal Software Engineer role (Big Data) | 6 Month Contract

Are you a Principal Engineer with experience in projects where you have moved large amounts of data? Have you exceptional problem solving skills? If so we have an excellent role for you with a multinational data analytics company based out of South Dublin.

Role & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will not just be an excellent software developer but a natural problem solver who can see the larger picture, be commercially savvy and who can identify performance concerns.

In this role you will be challenged with the migration of a big data pipeline, and you will be responsible for identifying bottlenecks in their usage of the AWS.

Experience required

8+ years Java development experience (Scala is a plus)

Elastic MapReduce (EMR) is a plus

Extensive AWS experience

Hands on experience solving big data issues with Hadoop

Proven experience where you have moved large amounts of data
