VP Software Engineering Global Tech Co

Position Overview
We are looking for a VP of Software Engineering to lead and scale the global Engineering division of a team operating between Eastern European and Dublin of a high growth tech start-up. This is a key executive role (no coding required) that will lead the global Engineering team. In addition to leading and growing a globally distributed team, this role requires a strong technical background with ability to guide the team on technical vision and architecture.

As VP of Software Engineering you will own the performance and delivery of the technical function with responsibility for current and new products (mobile & desktop apps)

Key Skills & Background Experience

* Ability and proven experience in building & managing a high performing technical team
* Solid background of hands on work experience in software engineering
* Ability to establish strong product planning, estimation and processes that balance delivery, quality and timeframes.
* Identify and report on critical technology and product health metrics
* Background experience working with agile methodologies
* Ideally you will have worked within a high growth tech-based company
* BS/MS in Computer Science or similar technical field
