Fantastic opportunity for a candidate with broad experience in the Payments Industry in managing POS development teams to deliver Business Change and in leading strategic think on Terminal Strategy
JOB PURPOSE
The POS Development Manager is responsible for the delivery of all Payment Front end solutions (POS Terminals) for the Group. This incorporates overall responsibility for all aspects of the POS/ePOS software solutions and Hosting Services, incorporating business, compliance and internal change. This includes management of software releases to the Group’s terminal estate.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Lead a team of IT Professionals to deliver Front End Payment Software Solutions and Services.
- Lead internal POS Strategic Agenda
- Own and drive the Programme of Projects delivering the Payments Front End Solutions roadmap
- Ensure the Group’s terminal estate is hardware and software compliant.
- Maintain an inventory of the Group terminal estate, incorporating PCI requirements
- Implement a Terminal Management System to control the terminal estate.
- Ensure solutions adhere to Group Architecture, Software and Security (incl. PCI) standards
- Support Business and Customer needs for new and existing solutions and services
- Ensure all systems and process documentation is in place
- Work closely with internal key Payment personnel and Third Party Relationships
- Contribute to the effective working of the IT Management Team
- Participate in the Company’s Performance Management System and ensure full compliance with all policies and procedures, reporting systems and Company Values at all times.
Knowledge & Experience
- Must have knowledge in and experience of working with Global Payment Solutions
- Must have a solid understanding of industry & country specific card and payment schemes
- Must have a solid understanding of Card Scheme compliance and security regulations
- Must have experience in managing POS development teams, preferable in Verifone Development Platforms.
- Must display the ability to take ownership of projects from the pre-sales to implementation.
- Must have a proven track record of identifying and solving problems.
- Must have experience in managing a team of Payments specialists to deliver business payments solutions and services
- Must be able to contribute as part of a management team
Skill
- Hold a third level Business, IT or Finance degree (or equivalent),
- 3+ years experience working in the Payments industry preferably in implementing Payment solutions.
- Proven experience in delivering IT Projects.
- Excellent Project Management skills with a strong understanding of software development methodologies.
- 3+yrs experience in managing effective delivery teams
- Strong Stakeholder management skills required
