Dublin based role supporting multiple locations across the 26 counties. The client is a leading organisation in the retail sector and has a great reputation as an employer. Working under the IT Director and in conjunction with the existing IT team members, you will be involved in:
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution.
• Troubleshoot/Install/upgrade and configure desktop/server hardware.
• Maintain the Active Directory environment – adds/moves/changes.
• Maintaining and monitoring Microsoft Windows servers and clients (Server 2012, 2016, Windows 7, Windows 10).
• Installs/loads operating system, patches and application software.
• Execution of on-site/remote-site technical and system administration support.
• Collaborate and contribute to the development, administration, and testing of backup and recovery plans.
• Ensure the anti-virus software is installed and kept up to date.
• LAN,WAN & Wireless network troubleshooting.
• Operate the IT Helpdesk and assign tasks to relevant IT staff. From statistics, help the team identify areas where we can make improvements to reduce support calls.
• Support staff in the in-house developed software systems and contribute to their continuous improvements – based on trends in helpdesk calls.
• Support the groupwide IP telephone system.
• Mobile Device Management implementation and maintenance – mix of android, apple, windows devices.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Minimum 1year experience Hardware/Software IT Support.
• Poses excellent problem solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Requires experience with personal computer equipment.
• Must understand installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
• Working knowledge of computer networking and communication systems for data and voice.
• Knowledge and understanding of standard office software package.
