Data Warehouse / BI Developer
The successful candidate will join a team working on Data warehouse / BI solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Data Warehouse Developer to gain experience in a growing global organization. The successful candidate will work closely with other departments within the company and will primarily have responsibility for developing ETLs and reports. Activities
• Design, develop and deploy BI/Data integration solutions including ETLs and reports
• Implement solutions to integrate with various 3rd party tools
• Ensure solutions are robust, scalable and performant
• Assist Business users and Data Analysts, to access the data they require to make business decisions, including ad-hoc reporting
• Keep up to date with evolving concepts and industry best-practices in the area of BI
Experience
• At least 5 years commercial experience in a Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence role
• BSc in Computer Science or an equivalent
• Strong SQL skills
• Familiar with Excel/Power BI
• ETL development using enterprise ETL tool (SSIS, Informatica etc)
• Experience with designing and implementing data integration solutions with 3rd party systems – both push and pull-based
• Understanding of OLTP and OLAP concepts
• Familiarity with Data Mining / Machine learning concepts would be an advantage
• Knowledge in the area of payment processing and fraud would be useful
• Familiarity with MS SQL Server BI stack a plus
• Experience with 3rd party Web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
• Ability to work with business users to understand their BI needs, and deliver solutions to meet their requirements as well as looking for ways in which the system can be improved
• Strong verbal & written communication skills as well as being able to comfortably engage with the business at all levels
• Ability to work independently
• Understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies
