Our Dublin based client is a leading global finance & Healthcare company. They have set up one of the most exciting R&D Labs in Dublin. This is a greenfield team and you will be focused on exploratory analysis and R&D on Risk Adjustment Analysis. You will have a strong academic background in a mathematically or statistically focused discipline with an excellent handle on modern statistical tools such as R and Python. You will have experience building out predictive models and experience with machine learning.
A PHD or MSc in a relevant area with a strong Post Doc or a couple of year’s commercial experience will be looked at. They offer a genuine R&D environment, a very strong package and the opportunity to work with an excellent peer group.
The opportunity is to be part of a newly formed analytics team that is seeking to unlock untapped RAF opportunities and drive more value and insights from the data. You will build predictive models to map relationships between millions of individuals and entities and apply machine learning to mixed data sources. You will have access to modern analytics infrastructure and technologies and the support of established data engineering and production development teams to see your models realized on a regular basis.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Pattern classification and disease prediction using machine learning methods
• Research, develop and apply new innovative methods and technologies from other domains to healthcare data
• Be a thought - leader and expounder of data science methods and applications
• Work with autonomy to find solutions to complex problems
• Leverage technical analytical expertise across the enterprise to architect, deploy and oversee analytics and technology solutions
• Lead an elite team of engineers, data scientists and experts
• Serve as the subject matter expert on risk adjustment models across lines of business
• Develop and implement new products and solutions that transform the industry
• Communicate insights to a variety of audiences from machine-learning experts to business partners
Required Qualifications:
• Experience in analytics / data science in a business or academic context
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g. computer science, science, engineering, math / stats, etc.)
• Experience with Python, R, Scala or other analytics languages
• Demonstrated experience in data manipulation with SQL and related tools, data management and efficient storage methods
• Good understanding of statistics, machine-learning and numerical methods
• Proven ability to breakdown and clearly define problems
• Demonstrated ability to deliver and own projects that yield real business value
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters or Ph.D. in scientific or quantitative fields
• Experience of large-scale distributed computing environments (Hadoop and related tools)
• Experience with deep learning, graph analytics and unsupervised learning methods
• Experience applying computational algorithms and statistical methods to structured and unstructured data
