Principal Systems Engineer

Role:

Our client is a growing Irish software company and now wants to hire an experienced and expert Systems Engineer to join its development team. Their product is leading-edge and is pushing the boundaries of performance constantly. You’ll be developing code and improving Linux kernels to help ensure that they squeeze the very last watt of horsepower out of their systems.

Requirements:

• You must be clearly eligible to live and work in Ireland on application
• You should at least five years of relevant experience, including performance tuning and software development
• You will be expert at C development on Linux with extensive C++ skills, too
• You’ll have expertise with multi-threaded development, especially the performance pitfalls associated with threads
• You’ll have in-depth knowledge of Linux file systems and Linux kernel details, their performance and tuning techniques
• You’ll have significant networking experience
• You should be educated to a Degree level in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
