Onsite IT Engineer - Dublin Airport - 6 month Fixed Term Contract- - 26,000 + - 604 per month shift allowance (- 33,248 per annum) Pro rata- Have you gained experience within an IT Technician role/ IT Engineer role? What does the role involve?
You will work as part of the ESP Global Services team to provide on-site support for all components of the Airport passenger processing system within agreed contractual service level agreements, your focus shall be on the specialist IT equipment that is used to progress passengers from the moment they enter the airport through to boarding the plan. We pride ourselves on our customer service, you will ensure a consistent and high level of customer service is provided to the customer first time every time whilst continuing to build relationships with all key stakeholders and departmental areas.
* Carry out regular routine and preventative maintenance on the specialist IT equipment at the designated regional airport or any other ESP supported site as required or requested by line manager.
* Respond to all customer incidents and service requests, as well as any escalated incidents, passed across by the Global Service Desk and successfully resolve any user faults within agreed SLAs
* Carry out full diagnosis of hardware problems using specialist diagnostic tools
* Troubleshoot and resolve all issues relating to the specialist equipment and initiate the return of faulty customer equipment according to the customer maintenance contract.
* Offer support and on-site training and coaching to the Airport Technicians & Airport Engineers to increase their understanding of specialist IT equipment
* Identify any spares required and advise the Global Service Desk accordingly to ensure that the customer incident can be updated accordingly.
* Carry out regular "floor-walking" and pro-active line of sight checks to identify and resolve any issues associated with the specialist equipment before they are raised as incidents through the Global Service Desk.
* Undertake any call if requested outside the specialist equipment arena and as directed by ESP line management.
Working hours:
The suitable candidate for this IT Engineer role is required to work shifts - please see below:
* Shifts run Monday - Sunday
* IT Engineer will be rotational shift
* Shift Pattern- 4 x days/ nights on shift followed by 4 days/ nights off shift. 2 x shifts operate in blocks of 4: 4 x 7am- 7pm & 4 x 7pm- 7am
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Comptia A+ certification- ideal
* Comptia Network + certification- ideal
*Good Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Desktop Software (Windows 98/ 2000/ XP, Office 97/2000/XP)
* An understanding of network protocols, server hardware and configurations or other IT qualification
* Previous IT Support experience
* Full Driving Licence
