As the IT Project Manager / Technical Manager, you will be one of the initial elements of a new, highly skilled team with a clear progression path to Chief Technology Officer with the opportunity to hold a share in the business. You will join one other team member and play a key management role in the Technical Department as your team grows around you. The other existing member of your team provides current key technical assistance alongside QA and testing duties and a current interface with our developers. You will work closely from day one.
The Technical Department utilises an external Technical Development Team. You will be working directly with this external Technical Development Team and any other new external teams going forward.
The role will require you to be the "go to person" when developing features and software design, understanding the future system requirements from the Management Team and mapping those into scopes and wireframes and inputting suggestions on how best to move forward, then managing that delivery process with the external team. You will need to grow into a Senior Technical position within the business.
This is very much a hands-on role and is an outstanding opportunity for a software development manager or project manager. You will manage the quality, cost, timescale and deliverables of the external Technical Team and will act as the key interface between clients and technical teams, playing a vital role in client implementations and managing technical system integration and data processes.
Additionally, you’ll develop and manage first line technical support for clients, provide training during implementations and oversee all technical documentation.

- At least three years’ experience leading or managing software development projects
- Experience in HTML, MySQL, PHP, Objective C and Java
- Video hosting and data management experience
- Business analysis experience
- The willingness to travel to client sites when required
- A valid driving licence
Logical, analytical and communicative. As the IT Project Manager / Technical Manager, you will need excellent problem-solving skills, strong people-focused abilities and a close attention to detail.
Please note, initially, this role will be available on a full or part-time basis. For candidates seeking a part-time opportunity, it is envisaged that the role will grow to full-time within six months.
