Senior Developer

They require a Developer with knowledge of one of the J2EE - Application Servers and design patterns, with a degree in computer science or a related field.
Based in Dublin, this permanent role will see the successful candidate join a dynamic team of Developers, designing and driving innovative features for the application as well as assisting clients in their implementation phase.

How can I stand out from the crowd?
* Degree educated in Computer Science or a related field.
* Strong inter-personal and organizational and communication skills required.
* Knowledge in one of the J2EE - Application Servers: Weblogic, IBM Websphere, JBoss / Tomcat.
* Experience with Java 6/7/8.
* Experience with one of the Messaging Systems: JMS, MQ, Tibco.is an added advantage.
* Know-how of implementing new web service clients (bottom-up and top-down approaches) and compose/use other web services.
* Beginner level proficiency in Oracle - (PL/SQL).
* Diagnosis abilities.
* Familiar withJ2EE design patterns, GoF, GRASP and other design patterns.
* Tooling/Testing experience with knowledge of Unit testing using JUNIT, Cactus or mock objects.
* SVN, branching, code management skills.
* Working use IDE.
* Understands fundamentals of JVM memory management.
* Agile development methodology knowhow.
* Familiar with Test Driven Development & Continuous Integration
What would a general day involve?
* Oversee the implementation for business functional specifications through the full software development lifecycle.
* Maintenance of issues throughout the project lifecycle pre and post go-live.
* Offer technical assistance to other teams - support, QA, business analysis.
* Working with a remote team in a geographically distributed development model.
* Examine and adapt new technologies and tools within the Development team.
* Liaise with the Development and wider organization on technical and business knowledge.
* Provide constant improvement and development.
