If you are an IT training professional with knowledge of MS Office applications, this is a brilliant opportunity to help drive the success of an innovative company’s IT function. 

With operational areas across Europe and primary bases in Ireland, the UK, Belgium and Poland, our client’s group is a significant player in the builder’s merchanting industry and a leader in Ireland and the UK. 

Within Ireland, they also operate a strong DIY retailing organisation with stores nationwide and a kitchen business operating under a number of brands. They are now looking for an IT Trainer to join their team.

As an IT Trainer, you will develop and deliver training programs to users of our client’s IT solutions. 

Reporting to the Head of IT, you’ll challenge the IT Solution Teams to ensure that high quality products are delivered on an ongoing basis. 

You’ll maintain, update and improve existing training courses, as well as creating new training modules to support the roll-out of new technologies and advance the usage of existing solutions. Additionally, you will create high quality documentation to agreed deadlines. 

Interested? To be considered, you will need: 

- Experience of delivering IT training to small groups and an aptitude for training and imparting information to mixed IT ability groups 
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and Office 365 
- A JEB, QQI Level 6 or similar qualification OR Train the Trainer qualification

Self-motivated and adaptable, as an IT Trainer, you’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You’ll also be a creative thinker with great problem-solving abilities and the desire to expand your skill-set. 

Ideally, you will be a Microsoft Office Specialist or Microsoft Certified Trainer, but this is not essential. A third level qualification would also be beneficial to your application.
