Embedded Software Developer with Linux
My client are an Irish-based company developing solutions for IOT applications in satellite communications and rail transportation markets. The company is currently looking for Embedded Software Developers to work on a range of projects including IP routers/switches, 3G/LTE cellular access points and two-way satellite terminals providing global internet access. An ability to learn new technologies quickly is a key requirement to work in challenging technical roles.
Key skills include:
• Experience with various Linux distros e.g. CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian
• C/C++, Python, Bash/Shell scripting
• Good Linux networking knowledge
• Key network protocols include IPv4/IPv6, IPSec, VLAN, Multicast, 4G/LTE, SIP
The following are an advantage
• Linux kernel-mode development
• x86 & ARM hardware exposure
• Virtualisation including VMware & KVM
• Cisco routing/switching knowledge
• U-Boot bootloader experience
