Senior ERP Strategist – Multinational FMCG – Dublin

On behalf of a multinational FMCG concern (including Manufacturing) IT Search has been asked to find a Senior Strategist to utilise a mix of business and technical expertise to build and maintain ERP and related systems to unify areas such as Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Research and Development and their Technical Infrastructure.

Based in Dublin, one of the key requirements here is for experience within the manufacturing domain, strength in SAP modules (ideally) and a track record of successful scoping/costing of systems across a multinational enterprise.

Responsibilities include:

·      Working with Business Area Heads to understand cross Enterprise business needs and to identify and implement agreed technological solutions

·      Utilise existing Architecture team to create and execute roadmaps and plans

·      Develop strong reporting lines, financial constraints and act as point of contact for vendors etc.

·      Address existing SLAs and ensure new solutions are compliant and secure

·      Liaise across the group to ensure sufficient human, technical and financial resources are available

·      Travel to international sites (perhaps two trips per quarter) to meet local Business Heads and to build internal and external relationships

Requirements include:

·      At least 15 years of commercial experience, most recent 5/10 to be in the area of significant change management within IT, driving an agreed vision of technological success within FMCG

·      Experience within the Manufacturing domain, working in a regulated environment and having overcome pitfalls and identifying roadblocks along the way

·      Very strong commercial acumen coupled with significant ERP and various Modules (ideally SAP)

·      Strong personnel management with focus on mentoring and bringing existing teams along on the agreed technological path

This is a key, senior hire for my client and it carries significant responsibility for the future of their Global Operations. Importantly, it will be a massive challenge for the right candidate to bring their experience and expertise to bear on this multinational firm.
