Our client, a multi-national financial services company, currently has a job opening for a Junior Systems Administrator to join their Dublin City Centre office.
This Systems Administrator job will initially see you performing support from level 1-3 for the Dublin, as well as some of the global, offices. As you progress technically you will also be getting involved in project work.
This role is ideal for someone who has provided Deskside Support but also knows their way around servers and server rooms, and wants to increase their technical knowledge in this direction.
You will be working with a very senior Systems Engineer who will be mentoring you and increasing you technical knowledge. After a couple of years with him, he expects you to be at the level where you will be able to manage and maintain aspects of the IT infrastructure including VMware ESXi hosts, SAN storage, network switches and more

Please note, essential for this role is strong communication skills, as you will be dealing with people at all levels in the company, as well as the ability to work independently. Although you will have excellent support, you will eventually be expected to look after most of the Dublin Office yourself. As such, it is required that you are able to work off your own initiative.
Essential
• 3+ years’ experience dealing with end users

• DNS / DHCP
• Active Directory
• Exchange 2010 / 2013
• Backup solutions experience
• Understanding of virtualisation specifically VMware ESXi 5.x & 6.x
• Understanding of networking components
• Understanding of server and storage hardware
Desirable
• Understanding of the regulatory environment
• Azure experience a plus
• SQL 2012 / 2016
• Veeam backup and replication
• Checkpoint firewalls
