itContracting are seeking applications for a Software Developer this is a Contract position based in Dublin 1.
General Role:
* Working with application analysts and technical specialists in the requirements elicitation and specification, technical analysis and design of new and existing software, database schemas and data models, as required.
* Testing of software and data models throughout the development process as well as pre-release, and regression testing of cumulative upgrades.
* Operational support of MIS, Clinical, Corporate Systems, as appropriate, including performance monitoring, technical support, and platform management.
* Providing technical and software support for all elements of data and information security.
* Organise, plan and control service delivery.
* Any duties appropriate to the job which may be assigned from time to time by the Project Leads/Department Head.
Service Management and Delivery
* Maintenance of existing applications and development of new applications.
* Carrying out change requests and bug fixes.
* Initiating, seeing through and completing projects throughout its life cycle as directed by the Project Manager.
* HL7 Validation.
* Carrying out any further implementations / updates in reference to software / applications or service standards as requested and directed by the Project Manager.
Qualifications
* 3rd level degree in computer programming
* Post Graduate Qualification
Experience
* 1-2 years' experience of data integration, modelling and reporting in a related area.
Professional Knowledge
* Good working knowledge IT systems
* Good working knowledge of Integrated Business Intelligence Tools
* Good Technical Knowledge
* Software development/SQL databases/Diver data models
* Microsoft SQL Server
* InterSystems Caché and DSM
* Dimensional Insight (Diver Solution)
* Dimensional Insight Access Language (DIAL)
* Knowledge and applied skills in:
