A leading professional services firm specialising in audit and assurance, consultancy, corporate finance and tax is seeking to appoint an IT consulting manager to work in the Consulting Division. This individual will be required to manage a broad range of projects and assignments across a diverse client portfolio. The position is a business led ICT consulting management role.
The role will be based in Dublin, but will involve some business travel (usually within Ireland or the United Kingdom) as determined by client projects. For the right candidate, the position offers excellent advancement opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
• Reporting to two partners working towards the achievement of departmental goals and targets
• Managing client projects
• Managing small teams of consultants working on client projects
• Providing independent assessment and objective advice on the use of information and related technologies by clients
• Reviewing and analysing IT systems, infrastructure and operations
• Supporting clients in the development of ICT strategies
• Supporting clients in the specification and selection of systems
• The provision of ICT procurement support and assistance to clients
• Developing ICT implementation plans
• Preparation of final reports, presentations and other deliverables
• Business development, including preparing proposals and tender responses
• Key Requirements
• Candidates will be expected to have obtained an ICT or other relevant third level qualification
• He/she must have at least six years of relevant ICT experience
• Excellent authoring and report writing skills are essential
• Strong technical background, preferably demonstrated by vendor certifications
• Good knowledge and experience of software, hardware, networking, and communication technologies and their uses
• Familiar with a broad range of applications, infrastructure software and operating systems
• Basic understanding of project management methods, principles and practice
• Experience with data analytics and modelling is desirable
