Embedded Software Engineer with strong embedded C or C++ Programming experience required for permanent role in Galway.

Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or relevant combination of education and experience.
• Experience developing embedded code in C or C++
• Experience with Microcontrollers (preferred Microcontrollers: Microchip, Atmel and TI)
• Familiarity with popular interfaces: CAN, RS232, RS422, I2C & SPI
• Embedded fundamentals: Timers, PWM, ADC, DAC, DMA, Watchdog, Interruptions, etc
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Good Attention to detail
• Knowledge in Python and Visual Basic would be an advantage
• Knowledge in Power electronics would be an advantage

Responsibilities:
• Develop complete Firmware solutions
• Work closely with the hardware team to define the architecture of new products
• Microcontroller selection for new designs
• Debug, verification and validation of design
• Document design progress and activity
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
