Exciting opportunity for an experienced Security & Network Engineer to join a fast paced company here in Cork.

Role:

To maintain, improve and document Network infrastructure and management processes so as to ensure that they support the business requirements from a performance, capacity, resiliency and security standpoint.

Essential Qualifications, Training and Experience:

* Cisco Networking Certification -CCNP
* 4+ years' experience administering and managing Next Generation Firewalls
* 8+ years' experience in Network Management with an organization of 1000+ users
* Strong Experience is designed and implementing Security platforms
* Strong Experience of designing and implementing LAN/WAN networks (including voice) that also cover redundancy and business continuity planning
* Vendor management experience essential
* Security Technologies: Working knowledge of, including but not limited to: Encryption (Including PKI), Remote Access mechanisms, Intrusion Detection/Prevention, Next Gen Firewalls, SIEM, Antivirus, Malware protection

Desired Qualifications:

* Third Level ICT Degree + relevant network qualification
* Cisco Networking Certification -CCNA
* Checkpoint Certification - CCSA/ CCSE
* Work Knowledge of Trend Micro product stack
* Working Knowledge if IBM SIEM
* Working Knowledge of virtualization (VMware)
* Strong working knowledge of industry networking standards and methodologies
* Strong working knowledge of security standards, PCI DSS and ISO 27001
* Experience of detailed technical documentation
