This is an outstanding opportunity for a network or technical architect looking for a fresh role involving plenty of travel and some exciting technical challenges.

Since 2000, our client has provided AutoID and mobile computing solutions for enterprises across different sectors including pharmaceutical, medical device manufacturing and retail. They are now looking for a Network Engineer join their team.

As a Network Engineer, you will be tasked with working across Ireland to deliver accurate technical assessments of customers’ application requirements and needs.

You will work hand-in-hand with the Sales Team in both pre and post sales situations to analyse customers’ technical problems, run feasibility studies on their requirements and recommend and demonstrate technical solutions that resolve these.

As part of the existing Professional Services Team, you will deliver training and start-up assistance and consultancy services to customers. You will perform demonstrations for technical and non-technical audiences in both large and smaller groups.

It is envisaged that you will attend our client’s offices in Clonmel, County Tipperary around once or twice per week.

Interested? If so, you must have:

- A minimum of two years’ previous experience in a similar network / technical architect type role
- A degree in an IT or software discipline
- A full, clean driving licence

Autonomous and quick to learn, as a Network Engineer, you will need strong analytical and problem solving abilities and great presentation, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. The ability to work well under pressure, an awareness of the sales process and the pressure points associated with this and the flexibility to travel are also key.

Experience of dealing with enterprise mobility incorporating Cisco and Zebra Technologies would be beneficial to your application. A history of working with applications from the likes of Soti, Wavelink and similar platforms would also be advantageous.
