We are interested in speaking with experienced IT Engineer’s with previous project deployment experience in relation to a new position that has arisen with one of our Limerick based Clients. The Engineer is required to have excellent knowledge of Windows Server, some experience of full server deployment and a keen interest.
Responsibilities of the IT Project Deployment Engineer:
- Resolving issues with and deploying SonicWalls.
- Networking – Switching (DHCP, DNS, Switch Configuration, VLANs and Basic Routing).
- Management and migration of servers from a physical to a virtual environment.
- Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 setup and migration.
- PC Migration – Imaging.
- Deployment of online backup – Veeam, Ahsay and Symantec backup Exec.
- Resolving Client issues onsite and providing support with infrastructural projects/roll outs.
- Providing additional assistance to the support team when required.
- Analyse customer problems and formulate plans of resolution
- Utilise all technical resources to solve customer problems.
- Assist in evaluating new services, processes and technologies
- Participate in departmental training activities including training programs in support of new technologies, procedures, and customer service enhancements.
- Documentation and testing of infrastructure upgrades or new installs
Qualifications
- 3rd Level Qualification in an IT related Discipline or relevant experience
- MSCA/MCSE/CCNA
- Dell SAN certification an advantage
Technical Skills
- 1-2 years’ practical hands on experience in a Microsoft Server environment
- Hands on experience of Office 365
- SAN Familiarity
- Virtualisation(VMware/HyperV) Concepts and basic hands on experience
- Good working knowledge of Exchange
- Experience working with Connectwise / Labtec
