About the Role:

We are currently hiring an experienced Client Delivery Manager to join our expanding team working with exciting new technologies based out of our office in the UK. We will require successful candidates to spend 60% of their time onsite in the UK with customers.

Previous knowledge and experience of working in a client facing technology solutions/services business, ideally in the ideally in the IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and/or PaaS (Platform as a Service), cloud technologies and providers’ arena is required for this role.

Role Purpose & Behavioural Expectations                                

Reporting to the Ammeon Head of Delivery, the primary function of the Client Delivery Manager is to act as the interface between the Sales Lead, Delivery & Delivery Operations and the Client’s own Program and Operational staff.

The CDM will have an active role in managing the ongoing client relationship from a delivery perspective. This involves; managing and assuring project / service delivery, managing delivery risk, quality, budget, stakeholder satisfaction management, working closely with the Operations & Delivery Line Management to identify the right people for the project, defining job descriptions, supporting Sales with opportunity pursuit (beyond what is covered by Pre-Sales) and the on boarding and support of new team members.

The CDM is expected to be comfortable working with a high level of autonomy, accountability and self-responsibility as everyday ‘norms’ and they are expected to have confidence in their own abilities and a strong sense of self-belief. They are expected to have a ‘can-do and will-do’ attitude and can demonstrate drive, tenacity, motivation, positivity, energy and passion.

Responsibilities:                         

Client Delivery

  • Manage all aspects of the delivery lifecycle; including commercial delivery
  • Assure the quality of delivery and promote & delivery continuous improvement in delivery
  • Ensuring the delivery team is focused on operational excellence
  • Facilitating the appointment of individuals to the project delivery teams
  • Build and manage credible, trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Manage the client relationship from the delivery perspective, ensuring the onsite resources are delivering to the agreed engagement terms
  • Work with the Engagement Lead (Project Manager(s)) on managing the client Engagement
  • Participate in formal client progress review meetings, providing relevant reporting as agreed on a client-by-client basis based on standard Ammeon approaches
  • Work with Line Managers & the Head of Delivery to resource client projects to achieve the corporate goal of having “the right person in the right place”
  • Report on new or changing resource requirements for projects, which the CDM is responsible for
  • Minimise costs (travel & subsistence) for a project
  • Facilitate the roll out of common practises and delivery standards
  • Liaise with Delivery Operations to ensure resourcing needs (current, known and tentative) are entered into the resource planning system in a timely and accurate way
  • Liaise with Sales to ensure relevant legal commercial coverage is in place for engagements
  • Ensure relevant client reporting is performed to Ammeon standard, schedule and is accurate
  • Ensure that deliverables are on time and to required scope and quality standards
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the technical delivery, or the programme as a whole. Challenge internal stakeholders to contribute to improvements to the overall effectiveness of the delivery process

Follow-on Business

  • Work with Ammeon Delivery teams, Sales, Head of Delivery to identify new opportunities in the account, both in existing business areas of the Client in which Ammeon is engaged and new areas of the Client; ‘Farming’
  • Participate and contribute to the client (Sales) planning process, as currently performed across nominated Strategic Accounts

Ammeon Services                                                           

  • Work with Propositions & Sales to identify opportunities to develop and enhance Ammeon Proposition Service offerings

Process                                                          

  • Perform quality reviews of Ammeon engagements as agreed with the Head of Delivery
  • Work with Line Management, Delivery Operations and HR to ensure the time, expense, holiday and sickness request, approval and timesheet approval process works correctly

Deliverables

  • Long term commercially successful client relationships
  • Accurate reporting of client engagements, working with the relevant Ammeon staff
  • All Ammeon systems are up to date with regard to people’s commitments
  • Working with the Delivery Organisation to plan future resourcing needs on clients, to ensure proactive rotation of Ammeon staff to meet the needs of Ammeon and its staff as being appropriate for the particular client
  • Working with the Sales and the Head of Delivery to ensure that, where staff rotation, service innovation or margins are lower than required, a plan is established to improve the situation through renegotiation

Experience Required:                                                   

  • Previous lead roles in technology services; ideally in the IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and/or PaaS (Platform as a Service), cloud technologies and providers’ arena
  • Previous lead roles in programme or major project management with a high emphasis on solution delivery and quality
  • Broad knowledge of the Technology Solutions Services market
  • Previous commercial experience in a professional services engagement framework
  • Excellent client facing skills
  • Sales support skills, including previous experience of pre-sales situations (presentations and written) services engagements
  • Good understanding of commercial framework around client consultancy
  • Ability to present succinct summaries by analysing multiple sources of data
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise across multiple clients and activities
  • Ability to work in a matrix-management environment
