Introduction:

Over the past number of years our client has built up the Healthcare distribution business through acquisition and organic growth. They diversified into Healthcare in March 2006, acquiring five medical device distribution companies that operate as division within the company.

They are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join their Clinical IT Support Team to provide Customer Support for Clinical IT Solutions throughout Ireland particularly for their Clinical Information Systems for Critical Care, Anesthesia, Cardiovascular and Obstetrics. The primary purpose is in the resolution and escalation of problems to achieve availability and uptime of our products as well as working with Customers on the installation and upgrade of IT Solutions.

Role:

* Remotely troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions.
* Detecting and mitigating potential performance issues and problems before users are impacted
* Installation of Server and Client Hardware/Software
* Interfacing of Medical Device
* Interfacing with Hospital Wide Information Systems such as Patient Administration Systems and Laboratory System
* Active participation in a 24x7 on call rotation and occasional work outside of normal business hours required.

Skills / Experience:

* 3-5 years' experience Windows Server Administration
* 3-5 years' experience SQL Server Administration and Reporting
* Scripting (PowerShell, JavaScript, Visual Basic)
* Virtual machine technology.
* Experience in troubleshooting and customer service.
* The candidate has excellent communications skills verbally and written with a focus on customer service.
* Strong interpersonal skills: Customer focused with good communication skills - written and oral.
* Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
* Self-motivated, team player.
* A Degree in a related Engineering/Computer Science/IT field is preferred.

Nice to have:

* knowledge of the HL7 messaging standards
