IS Information Architect - Dublin

Job Role

My client one of Irelands leading energy providers is currently looking for an IS Information Architect to join the company and focus their efforts on existing standards and that the implementation of new policies are followed. A mid to senior appointment that requires the ability to engage with all management, staff and clients effectively and professionally.

Main Tasks of Information Architect:

* Lead efforts to establish, define, maintain and communicate data architecture guidelines, principles, standards and best practices across the enterprise.
* Establish and maintain models and artefacts that describe how data is processed, stored, and utilized in the company.
* Analyse the current integration environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
* Analyse technology industry and market trends, and determine their potential impact on the enterprise.
* Maintain a strong knowledge of multi-methodology and best practice in the areas of data modelling, data architecture, data quality and cleansing, and data integration processes.
* Create architecture models that reflect our IT strategy and business priorities.
* Support the Application Portfolio Management process:

* Influencing portfolio planning to ensure cohesion and alignment with business and IS roadmaps.
* Assist in reducing the complexity and total cost of ownership of the portfolio by providing architectural expertise in the assessment and selection of new or enhanced IS services.

Key Skills you will require:

* Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering technology management or other relevant degree.
* 5-10 years' professional experience in information/data architecture.
* Expert communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills - able to translate complex concepts into information that senior management and staff can understand.
* Extensive experience in defining and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical data models, data standards, naming conventions and data flow diagrams.
* Excellent knowledge in data quality and management, integration processes, databases and analytics.
* Experiences in database, data warehouse, transaction processing and business intelligence infrastructure technology solutions.

Set yourself apart with:

* Master's Degree in computer science, computer engineering technology management or other relevant degree.
* Knowledge of Big Data, NoSQL and Hadoop.
* Experience in Utility industry, Energy Management Systems or Market Management Systems.
* Industry certification in data/database architecture.
* ITIL Certification
