Principal Systems Engineer

Role:

Our client is a growing Irish software company and now wants to hire an experienced and expert Systems Engineer to join its development team. Their product is leading-edge and is pushing the boundaries of performance constantly. You’ll be developing code and improving Linux kernels to help ensure that they squeeze the very last watt of horse-power out of their systems.

Requirements:

• You must be clearly eligible to live and work in Ireland on application
• You should at least five years of relevant experience, including performance tuning and software development
• You will be expert at C development in Linux with extensive C++ skills, too
• You’ll have expertise with multi-threaded development, especially the performance pitfalls associated with threads
• You’ll have in-depth knowledge of Linux file systems and Linux kernel details, their performance and tuning techniques
• You’ll have significant networking experience
• You should be educated to a Degree level in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
