Our client a startup company specialising in healthcare Cybersecurity is looking to hire an Engineering Manager to join their team in County Louth. They are uniquely positioned to deliver Cybersecurity solutions to the healthcare industry worldwide. It is an exciting fast-paced environment as they embarked on a new global industry.

Position Overview:

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for strategic planning, development and execution of the overall product roadmap for the company’s software suite. They are seeking a highly skilled leader with extensive knowledge of application development to develop expert risk analysis software tools for regulated industries. The candidate must have a strong history of developing high-functioning, collaborative and engaged engineering teams focused on delivering high quality products to customers. This is a dynamic position offering an opportunity to grow within company.

The Role:

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to lead the development of the company’s application suite.
• Deliver high quality, sustainable systems.
• Define a clear vision with challenging but achievable roadmaps to motivate your team to deliver.
• Establishing best practices and processes to create a good work environment.
• Recruit and grow best engineering talent to build a high functioning team.
• Engage with all functions in the organization to drive the overall company including Sales, Marketing and Support.
• Stay connected with the medical device industry and our customers to ensure that their needs are appropriately reflected in the product roadmap.

 The profile

• Demonstrated ability to engage with business leaders, peers and executive team.
• Able to motivate self and others to accomplish tasks and achieve goals including self-directed learning.
• Able to communicate effectively with large groups of employees and in one on one employee relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with mobile applications.
• Some experience or passion in the medical device / security / risk management domain.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years professional experience in a software development leadership role.
• Must be experienced in engineering management, team building, and people/leadership development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
