Role of IT Business Analyst includes:
• Documentation Control (creates/ maintains technical/business process documents)
• Work with internal departments and establish internal business relationships
• Proactively and reactively deliver on continuous improvement processes
• Day-to-day project management, providing accurate reporting and business intelligence throughout projects.
• In-depth analytical skills. Working closely with technical/business teams to provide insights where appropriate
• Work with business stakeholders to streamline support processes
• Ability to document workflows and processes and procedures. Regularly identifying and promoting opportunities to automate system processes
• Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time; at any one point you may be working on multiple projects
• Work closely with business stakeholder’s to establish requirements and translate them to technical solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot SAP issues to provide 2nd level support to the Firm
• Ensure that SLAs of tickets raised are being met. Escalate issues internally/externally and work alongside external SAP support provider to resolve tickets in a timely and efficient manner
• General Information Security responsibilities for implementing, maintaining or adhering to security policies and practices
• Security duties include the protection of information and assets, or for performing particular security processes or activities related to SAP.
Experience / Qualifications
• The candidate should have a good general knowledge of information technology, theory, principles and practices and also have the below experience/qualifications;
• Strong technical knowledge; any successful candidate should have experience working with SAP BW and be comfortable discussing issues with both technical and business teams
• Experience with MySql, SQL queries, syntax and SQL Server would be an advantage
• Good understanding of database development and maintenance
• Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau/Business Objects would be an advantage
• Ability to interact and communicate with colleagues efficiently and effectively
• Be able to work under pressure and against tight deadlines to implement pragmatic and intelligent decisions
• Previous experience in an application support environment role and have a structural approach to troubleshooting
• Third Level Degree
• Previous experience with ERP/SAP/BW systems
• Proven project administration & management skills
• Documentation management
• Ability to clearly present information and ideas, using presentations skills
• Strong inter-personal skills to work closely with entry level management
• Strong communications skills, verbal and written
• Ability to interpret business requirements
• Self starter
