Business Analyst

My client is currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work closely with the business & IT department to identify and implement IT led business solutions. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the investigation of business systems, identifying areas for improvement & using technology to bridge the needs of the business.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Understand the business needs to identify areas for improvement, specify requirement, provide recommendations to increase effectiveness & efficiency

• Analyse problems & work with stakeholders across all levels of the business to translate needs into functional requirement

• Prioritise business requirements & define new business process using detailed, clear & quality documentation

• Manage change effectively by communicating with IT & business stakeholders at all stages of the project life cycle 

• Work closely with technical team during the implementation to ensure understanding, buy in and successful implementation of validated solutions

• Meet challenging deadlines through collaboration and communication with stakeholders based on and offshore

• Provide support during all testing phases to ensure requirements as detailed in specification documents are delivered 

• Ensure smooth transition of new releases by working with IT & business

• Manage and lead experienced BA day to day

Requirements

• 8 years experience working on complex projects in Agile environment

• Consulting experience is beneficial

• Financial services/insurance industry experience is beneficial

• Openness to travel is desirable 

• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

• Track record of success within team environment

• Innovative thinker

• Proven ability to lead and manage change

• Strong influencing skills across all levels of management and comfortable to challenge ideas of others

• Commercially strong and able to work with stakeholders based on and off site
