Essential requirements
• Proven track record in managing a diverse team of developers
• Implement and track development milestones
• Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
• Negotiates feature sets with developers
• Relevant experience in the use of Linux, Java, PHP or Python
• Experience using the software development models such as agile, waterfall, cascade
• Experience with software development techniques such as SCRUM
• Experience using GIT, SVN or similar source code version control tools
• Experience of cloud based infrastructures
• Experienced working in a disciplined ISO9000 compliant development & release environment
• Experience dealing with remote or off-shore development teams
• Ability to mentor junior members of the team
• Ability to estimate and deliver on agreed timelines.
• Ability to drive innovation and innovative thinking within the organisation
• Must have extensive Web based experience
• Must have a proven track record as an innovator capable of inspiring a team.
• The ideal candidate will also be “hands on”, and capable of leading by example.
Knowledge/Skills:
• Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science
• Ten years working in a development team including a five year in project lead or management roles
• Strong problem solving ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Total fluency in English
• Additional European language an advantage
• Experience in automotive industry an advantage
• Knowledge of Telematics solutions an advantage
Working as member of a team to resolve open issues, drive process improvements in design, layout and operational performance
