Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a talented Senior Java Developer to join our Software Development team. As a Senior Java Developer, you will join a team delivering a range of enterprise and web solutions for our clients using the latest Java technologies.

The role:
The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for the design and implementation of software projects, lead design sessions, mentor junior team members and play a key role in ensuring the quality of the solutions that we build.

Essential Experience / Skills:
• A minimum of 5 years’ development experience in Java enterprise and web applications
• Experience designing and developing Web Service Interfaces, Web Frontends and Business Components

Experience using:
• EJB3
• Spring
• Hibernate
• JSF
• Struts
• Maven
• jBPM and/or Activiti
• SVN and/or GIT
• Junit
• Continuous Integration
• Oracle RDBMS
• Strong technical design and development skills
• Practical experience through all phases of SDLC
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (including fluent English)
• A keen interest in technology
• Third level qualification in Computer Science / Engineering or a related discipline

Desirable experience:

Experience with Scrum and general agile development techniques:
• Test Driven Development

Experience with:
• Application Server (Glassfish/Tomcat)
• Oracle 12c
• Hazelcast, Apache Camel
• Javascript frameworks in particular AngularJS
• Testing Tools: Mockito, Selenium/Protractor, Cucumber
• Messaging protocols like REST, SOAP and JMS (via ActiveMQ)​
• Experience across multiple Operating Systems
• Experience with Jenkins for Continuous Integration and Sonar or similar for code quality and code coverage
